Sandy Bay – The Pilot Episode
Back in 2014, I auditioned for a role in a pilot episode about a struggling Australian Surf Life Saving club called Sandy Bay. It was directed by a Joel Gray, who had managed to assemble quite a large cast and crew. After getting the role, we had a number of cast and crew meetings which involved beer and a smorgas board of delights that the Director’s mum was preparing! Seriously, it was like a buffet! See the video evidence here 🙂 🙂 It was cool being part of such a large team and I got to meet a lot of great people who have become friends and who I have since collaborated on other projects with. It was filmed on a number of different locations. My scene was filmed on a popular Perth beach along side actor Sean Walsh. I was playing the role of a council inspector who was threatening to close down a local surf club. Sean did a brilliant job playing the comedic lead role of “Plugger”.
